PLACEMENT WING

Placement wing for the college was started in the year 2005. It is headed by a Director of placement and training who is a retired Managing Director of Govt. Transport Corporations of tamil nadu. The placement wing is engaged in imparting personality development programs for the students. Initially the personality development programme which included softskills and communication skills was implemented for the final year students. 5 days workshop used to be conducted for the benefit of the final year students. After deep analysis, it was found that a single 5days workshop on soft skills does not have any impact on the students and therefore it was decided that this programme may be arranged not only for the final year students but was introduced to all the students compulsorily from the third year onwards so that the students when they come to the final year, they can face the placement interviews comfortably. With this in mind, every day in a week is now allocated for soft skill for classes all the students compulsorily, when they enter into the third year. Aptitude test, group discussions and mock interviews are continuously arranged so as to increase the employability levels of students. A well known training institute called M/s. Mafoi training Academy is organizing the yearlong training programme for the students.

 

Apart from this, the placement wing also arranges lot of guest lecturers from eminent persons from various industries for all the branches so as to provide the students with additional input on ground realities.

When the students enter into the final year, placement wing approaches lot of corporate houses and industrial establishments and invites them to visit the campus for the placement interviews. In some cases, off campus interviews are also arranged with some industrial house after establishing a good rapport with the industries. Over the years, we are happy that a number of companies mentioned below visited the campus and in some cases, our students have been sent to the corporate houses for off campus interviews also. Apart from the above, the students are being selected and regularly sent to the interviews conducted by the Armed forces also. Right from the year, the 1st batch of students rolled out from the college, the college is proud to say that it has been continuously placing majority of the students to the various corporate houses whose names are mentioned above.

Apart from this, the placement cell also organizes industrial visits to all the students of the different branches in every semester, so that they can visit lot of companies and get acquainted with the industrial scenario prevailing in different workshops.
